Background

William Grant & Sons is an independent, family-owned distiller founded in 1887. We were briefed to launch the private sales division, specialising in ultra rare whisky expressions from all three distilleries - Glenfiddich®, The Balvenie® and ‘ghost’ distillery, Ladyburn.

Programme

  • Implemented deep-dive landscaping and research into the UHNW collecting mindset in Asia
  • Developed the strategy for the inaugural product launch for Ladyburn 1966 Limited Edition One – a collaboration with legendary 1960s photographer, David Bailey
  • Devised and implemented a live television broadcast featuring the Art Markets Editor at The Art Newspaper, and the Master of Malt in Scotland
  • Created client acquisition events via partner tastings co-hosted with elite groups and whisky collecting networks to support business development goals

Results

Successfully launched the private client arm within William Grant & Sons.

UNHW industry experts, whisky connoisseurs, collectors and gatekeepers secured to the Ladyburn virtual launch.

Secured positioning feature in Club Oenologique (the global launch campaign continues).

Gatekeeper introductions via CC's wealth advisory networks including Rothschild & Co, supporting sales pipeline.
