The Last Drop Distillers is on a mission to 'seek out the world's finest, rarest and most remarkable aged spirits to share with our discerning customers', and on 17 April 2024, this mission was evident as we joined The Last Drop to launch its 2024 Collection and celebrate its 15th Anniversary at Four Seasons Hotel at Ten Trinity Square’s Thames Penthouse in London.

Overlooking some of the city’s most spectacular monuments - including The Tower of London, The Shard and Tower Bridge - the intimate celebration saw The Last Drop’s Managing Director Rebecca Jago and Master Blender Colin Scott discuss their remarkable and unique new releases, each with its own fascinating story, followed by a dinner designed to perfectly pair with these exquisite liquids.

n the company of many friends - both old and new - including Alex Martin; Brenda Tuohy; Chris Madigan; Gordon Thomson; Henrietta Thompson; Joel Harrison; Lisa Barnard; Steve May; and Will Moffitt, we also raised a dram of Release No. 33: a special 40 Year Old 15th Anniversary Blended Scotch Whisky, created by Colin Scott to mark the occasion. This blend will be served throughout the year as The Last Drop continues its celebrations.

Introducing The Last Drop Distillers 2024 Collection

The Last Drop Distillers, curators of the world’s most remarkable spirits, is delighted to announce its 2024 Collection featuring three bottlings that celebrate the unique possibilities of spirit-making and blending:

Release No. 34: 40 Year Old Single Malt Scotch Whisky from the Auchentoshan Distillery– a release been richly aged for four decades and with just 74 bottles produced, it presents an inimitable characteristic of Auchentoshan with a surprising sweetness.

Release No. 35: 22 Year Old Infinity Rum Blend – an extraordinary blend of rums from around the world; with origins in Guyana, Jamaica, Trinidad, Barbados, Venezuela, Guadeloupe, Brazil and Fiji  – it is a liquid of international origin.

Release No. 36: 55 Year Old Single Malt Scotch Whisky from the Tomintoul Distillery – these casks were put down to rest in Speyside – a time when the Tomintoul Distillery itself was less than 5 years old and aged for more than 53 years in six oak casks.

Each release celebrates a different facet of the fine craft of spirit making, from the unique production methods of Auchentoshan, to the experimentation and foresight used to create the Infinitum Rum, and the bold spirit of innovation imbued within this early whisky from Tomintoul. United by the vital ingredient of time, each has matured to a great age, revealing remarkable layers to be discovered.
